Our story began when the couple Luciana and William bought a small apartment in São Paulo city as an investment. Lu loves decoration and interior design and knows that an attractive and cozy environment improves rental value. After the refurbishment, the idea was to rent it in a conventional way (long term). However, Brazil was in the middle of a financial crisis and rental prices were low.
Meanwhile, the concept of holiday rental through digital platforms (Airbnb) was gaining strength in the country. Lu and Will love travelling and they had used Airbnb in international trips. That is when the idea of advertising the apartment on this website came up. Since then, guests from all over the world have known Lu and Will´s “Home Boutique Jardins”.
Very quickly, the apartment became a success on the platform. The different design and the hospitality were, without a doubt, determining factors. The demand increased and the rentability of holiday rentals revealed much higher than conventional rental.
The “Home Boutique Jardins” called the attention of friends and other Airbnb hosts, who came to Lu and Will to understand the secret of the rising demand for their apartment.
That´s when the idea came up: why not innovate and create a company that could offer all the necessary support for owners who want to rent their properties for short periods?
So, in record time, Lu and Will launched a start up, inviting two friends – Rodrigo Grigolin, entrepreneur and born traveller, and Rodrigo Santaliestra, expert in technology – to participate in this revolution in Real Estate.
This is how B.Homy was born: with an insight that decoration and hospitality are the biggest differentials when renting a property and with the courage to innovate and bet in a new business format never seen before.

Graduated in Production Engineering at Poli/USP, has a post-graduation in Corporative Finances by the FIA and has specialization in Merges and Acquisitions (M&A) by the University of Chicago (Booth School of Business). Former Marketing and New Business Director, responsible for implementing organic and inorganic growth processes in big companies (Libra Group, Hypermarcas, Abril Publisher), in segments such as Telecommunications and Media, Pharmaceutical and Infrastructure. Currently, member of the Administrative Council at Cinesystem.
Degree in Chemical Engineering at Unicamp and Law at PUC-SP, holds an MBA and Master ́s Degree Stricto Sensu at the School of Economics at the Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV). Great part of his career was developed in international banks such as Bank Boston, Bank of America, Citibank, JP Morgan and Royal Bank of Scotland, his last position being Executive Director. He has worked in the area of originating and executing structured debt operations for worldwide leading companies.
Degree in Publicity and Advertising at FAAP, Rodrigo holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration at FGV-SP. One of the founding members of UOL, where, as Project Manager, he developed products in the areas of content, e- commerce, publicity and international expansion of the portal. He was also responsible for the creation of web and mobile products and the development of software for companies in different sectors, such as AACD/Teleton, Fundação Telefônica and Walmart.com.
